If you don't pray, how will the spirit of power come? Even the "Exusia" you received when you get born again requires sinners' prayer. There are different dimensions of power. Everyone born again has power. though the power in you can not be activated without being stirred up in prayer. Prayer activates the possibilities in the Holy Ghost who is the source of power living in you. Jesus told his disciples in Matthew 17:21 "But this kind doesn't go out except by prayer and fasting"

@razzijeff: That’s why I don’t join them to sing that yeye song that says “ if you don’t pray satan will make mess of you” Rubbish song. When the disciples were filled with Holy Spirit in the upper room, they were not praying rather in one accord. Good enough Pastor Chris didn’t say u shouldn’t pray rather clarifying & highlighting why we pray, not necessarily as some are made to believe. Read the word of God guys & ask God for understanding/wisdom. Listen to Pastor Chris teaching.

You shall receive power when the Holy Ghost comes upon you. Once you receive Christ you receive power and authority. Prayer is not the source of power. It’s an instrument for manifesting this power. Prayer and fasting is necessary for alignment and harmony with God’s will. That’s why we must pray without ceasing. Every healthy relationship is built on communication. That’s where prayer comes in, in our relationship with God. We should learn to pay attention to details when listening. So our religious minds don’t hinder our growth.

this is almost tricky,,,,but listen,,,,prayer is very very important,,but it has its time,,, knowledge of the word is so that you know when to apply yourself either by praying to cause things to happen,,or to praise the Almighty for this to happen,,,or to worship for things to happen,,,or just by speaking with faith or just by speaking by direction,,,that is why we must open ourselves-up and allow the Holy Spirit to direct us in the way in which we must go,, for there is a time to apply ....now listen,,,the reason why it was written that the children of darkness are wiser is because they understand times and seasons which simply means do know when to apply
