@sdimmigrationlawyer: Imagine you’re a talented professional—like a researcher, engineer, doctor, or entrepreneur—from outside the U.S. who wants to move there permanently and work on projects that could help the country (think advancing healthcare, tech innovation, or environmental solutions). Normally, getting a U.S. green card (permanent residency) through work requires a U.S. employer to sponsor you, prove no qualified Americans want the job, and jump through months or years of red tape. That’s exhausting and often impossible if you’re self-employed or job-hunting from abroad. Enter the EB-2 NIW (Employment-Based Second Preference with National Interest Waiver) self-petition. It’s like a “VIP fast lane” for skilled people whose work is so valuable to the U.S. that the government says, “We waive those annoying requirements—just come contribute!” You file the application yourself (no boss needed), and if approved, you get a green card to live and work anywhere in the U.S. #eb2niw #greencard #immigrationlawyer #immigration

If you get this visa is your spouse allowed to work? Although I understand that they want to "protect" American jobs, if my husband won't be able to work it's not a "good deal" for us, even though I would have a high paying job there. 😓
