My husband left on deployment when I was 3 months pregnant with our daughter and missed her birth. And then left again when I was pregnant with our son. He also missed his birth while traveling 13+ hrs back home from Japan. Currently been 6 months since we’ve seen him he’s been on back to back deployments😩

Birthing alone is such a weird experience, I don’t even know how to explain it. Looking over to my phone and watching my husband experience the birth of our daughter through FaceTime was almost haunting.

when we were trying to have a kid we made sure my husband was on shore duty, that way he’s gonna be with me during the whole pregnancy. and we don’t have to think about him leaving out of nowhere or thinking he might not be able to be there when i give birth.
