in my country there's many mosques where someone is giving out food to the poor every Friday. some mosques do it with their donations. but in most places its an individual giving out few hundred meals. (different person every time). for any occasions. a baby being born . a marriage. name giving day . someone's funeral happening etc. mosques also double as religious schools and orphanages. And people from the area donate rice and cooked food to the orphans. they go to different houses everyday. (dosent happen in the cities anymore. but very much still a thing in rural areas)
