if you can't find the app you want on the app store... you should built it for yourself. mindful alarm is my third app (eek seriously how is this real), and it does one thing i couldn't find anywhere else: it connects your alarms to your smart lights and doesn't require any other subscriptions ;) developing for hardware felt intimidating at first. homekit has a lot of moving pieces, and so much of what exists is either outdated or scattered. what really helped was walking through Cursor how other apps had already solved similar problems, then pulling in all the newer documentation and synthesizing it into something i'd actually use every single day.
