So today I wanna talk about the top 5 characters that played a pretty big role in influencing and coming up with the Succubus character. Let me know if you can see the influence!🤍 1. Maleficent. Starting off with the live action version of Maleficent. I like villains but I still prefer the idea of being a baby face in wrestling and I feel Maleficent kinda has that air of being on the verge of becoming the villain but is never able to truly commit to it. She also displays this presence of being almost godlike and yet has this level of unsettling calmness to her and I knew I wanted my character to be something like this. 2. Verosika Mayday. Next is Verosika Mayday. An actual succubus who is kind of a pop idol in the Helluva Boss show and although I didn’t really want my social media status to be part of my character, I really enjoy the idea that a demon spawn of hell could also be a famous popstar. One that enjoys seducing her audience which I found quite appealing. 3. Morrigan Aensland. Now for the one I get asked about the most, “is your ring gear inspired by Morrigan from Darkstalkers?”. Yes but I also like that despite the fact this character is another succubus, she doesn’t really do anything that seductive or sexual. She’s more confident and playful which I really loved. It felt like it took the pressure off of having to do anything that sexual or that I’m not comfortable with. 4. Yuno Gasai. Next entry is Yuno Gasai from a great anime called Future Diary. This one really brings the “Yandere” part of the character thus one of my titles being “The British Yandere” and the yandere word is basically used to describe a type of girl often depicted in anime who is so obsessed with the main character that they’re willing to commit murder in order to protect them. 5. Albedo. And on the final entry we’re finishing with yet another succubus, Albedo from the anime Overlord. Albedo brings the weird cute vibes. Her obsessiveness comes across quite comical in the show and obviously I’m a big fan is some good humour. She’s often so in love and loyal that it’s almost pathetic and I love this. A great final entry to end the list.
