@chroniccarehr: Are you in the public sector and finding it harder to keep working due to a chronic illness, disability, or long-term health condition? Ill Health Retirement could be an option 💜 I’ve created a full Ill Health Retirement Guide Pack — it includes 4 letter templates, a full guide, and step-by-step instructions to help you start the process before it reaches capability or dismissal stage. It can take time to go through, so getting prepared early really helps. You can find the full pack now in my Chronic Care HR Shop on Payhip — link’s in my bio 💜 Please note this isn’t financial advice — it’s HR professional guidance based on my years of experience and my own lived experience of chronic illness and the challenges we face at work. If this helped, give me a follow for more HR & workplace support for those living with chronic conditions 💜 #IllHealthRetirement #DisabilityAtWork #ChronicIllnessSupport #HRAdviceUK #PublicSectorHR

I’ve just been medically retired under ill health retirement. I’ve worked my whole life & thought I’d be entitled to some sort of benefit, having never claiming a penny. Apparently I’m not entitled to anything., I know people who’ve claimed benefits their whole life.. unreal 🤦🏻♀️😳🤷♀️

How long had you needed to pay into a pension to take ill health retirement? I’m disabled with no pension and wondering whether I should start one so I can retire earlier as I’m not gonna make it to 67, I’m already struggling with my disability
