@sarbyreddit: Replying to @Sarby Reads Reddit PART 2 (UPDATE): AITAH for still getting on a flight home when my two young coworkers I was traveling with weren’t at the airport yet and were obviously going to miss it? #sarby

To be honest though, so many of that should be common sense. Like how to behave & dress....you are on a work trip so act & dress like you would at work

P is short for purchase card there are specific rules and in some cases laws about what you can and can’t put on a purchase card …which is different than a travel card idk particulars but I very much doubt they should have used the p card for like anything here

I had a whole orientation on what I could/couldn’t put on the p-card, limits, requirements, etc and had to sign policies

there is absolutely no blame on the company here. I work in finance and my first business trip (when I was 22) was international. they didn't give us any how-to information, even for an entire week in another country and transatlantic flights. I made it through just fine with my own common sense... this is an immaturity issue for the girls in this story. at that age you should be independent enough to navigate an airport and know how to act appropriately on a work trip

Before each of my first trips for different companies, they definitely went over expenses.

I have a number for my sister's work in case she is too sick to speak for herself. I dont have every number or email for her workplace that just seems weird.

I’ve worked in two different countries in various jobs, and all of them had policies about not giving coworker’s personal information.

Only reason she should have given her mom someone's number is if she was incapable of speaking and needed her to call for her I've done that before worked at a call center woke up had no voice rules were call out or write up they didn't have a text option so I had to text my brother with a script of what # to call and what to say and then he did it for me that's the only acceptable reason not to complain for you

Absolutely no travel debrief on “how to travel”, that is entirely the responsibility of the ADULT in that job position. A debrief of the expectations of what your responsibilities are on travel, that is your managers job.

We do policy acknowledgements that must be signed by an employee and their manager and HR before an employee can get a corporate credit card. This story sounds like a lot of someones expected too much from uninformed persons.
