I made a ‘your mum’ joke to a friend at school once and she immediately burst into tears and ran out of the room because, unbeknownst to me, her mum was seriously ill in hospital. she refused to speak to me for a full year afterwards and to this day the memory still makes me cringe with guilt. It's my dead best friend's birthday today. Honestly, she would have done something like this too, in fact she kinda did. One time she called me screaming about how she'd waxed her eyebrows and put on a product that reacted with the wax and burned them all off. I laughed about it for years after.
