@m.e.myselfandfatigue: Swipe to see why cutting wages doesn’t help businesses or create jobs, and why young people aren’t struggling to find work because their wages are “too high”. Let’s bust the myths and show the reality of living wages, youth employment, and cost of living in the UK. #NigelFarage #MinimumWage #LivingWage #YoungWorkers #UKPolitics

Minimum wage is one of the worst things introduced in this country

Raising the tax threshold to £20,000 would benefit earners by reducing the amount of tax they pay, meaning they'd take home more despite having a lower wage, at least up to that point. This could allow businesses to pay less per hour while staff receive a similar take-home amount, potentially freeing up funds for investment or growth.

it doesn't matter how much the minimum wage is, employers will have to put up prices to pay for them and the rise in national insurance, and who do you think will pay for all this?? general public.

the sad part is that the people who need to see this won't, and the people that do see it either already understand this and hate him anyway, or are too racist to care

focus should be made on reducing costs of operational costs of businesses, reduce cost of living too, then we won't see a problem with minimum wage going up! but unfortunately we can't have people working full time and still not afford rent because then the welfare bill would be even higher and so would taxes as a result

I completely disagree with Nigel reducing minimum wage however buisnesses do make cuts due to the increase in minimum wage , if a company has a rough patch they more likely to make staff redundant due to a higher wage , also higher wages usually companies increase the prices to cover the extra NI contributions + money that goes on the wages .

Being unable to take on fresh starts isn’t because of minimum wage but other factors like overheads and rent

Minimum wage could go up to £100 an hour, you won’t be any better off. As everything else will go up in price to cover the expense. People could live off 50p an hour if everything was priced accordingly. The issue we have in this country is country, is people on lower incomes are being taxed out of being able to live. If the tax threshold was increased to £20/25,000 and the tax percentage was lowered for people on low incomes. People would be a whole lot better off without everything going up in price.

minimum wage should be increased, it also shouldn't be different based on age, and companies should be insentivised to pay more than it

Plus the major minimum wage employers are all unionised if they tried cutting the wages everyone would go on strike it would only be the small businesses who would suffer due to having to keep paying higher rates anyway to compete with major corporations

Sadly people are either not being recruited or laid off the rise in ni and wages have damaged recruitment. Automatic check outs will not help and when Amazon finds a cheaper way to deliver products all the distribution companies will follow, there will be mass unemployment and we are still bringing in more people. Good luck everyone
