@florian_akeib: 🇬🇧 ENGLISH VERSION (States 7–11) The most beautiful pictures from every state of my 10,000 km bikepacking trip across the USA 🇺🇸✨ Part 2 — Texas to Florida 7. Texas Texas is huge — and full of stories. After countless mechanical issues, I sat by the water that evening, simply grateful for everything I have. Some fishermen at a campsite even gifted me a cap — a small gesture that meant so much on that day. The police also gave me permission to camp in a public park — an unforgettable moment of kindness. 8. Louisiana This photo was taken just before New Orleans — right before I took the ferry into the city. There, a super kind Couchsurfer hosted me for a few days, and we had an incredible time together. From city tours to evening beers, it was everything I could’ve hoped for. 9. Mississippi Gulfport — the very first time on this journey that I jumped into the ocean. After thousands of kilometers across the mainland, that feeling was indescribable. 10. Alabama Dauphin Island — a night of camping on an island. Even during the night it stayed around 33 °C with extreme humidity — the tent felt like a sauna. It ended up being my very last camping night in the USA. 11. Florida Key West — a place I had dreamed of for years. When I finally arrived, I couldn’t hold back my tears. Crossing that 11 km long bridge over the ocean — twice — was one of the most emotional moments of my entire journey.
