The bare minimum would be, that if you take loans against your shares, you get also taxed on them.

At some point if we don’t find a way to reasonably tax the wealthy the economy will stop growing plain and simple because there will be no one to buy their goods the wealth of billionaires has grown exponentially money is finite it needs to circulate appropriately

We need to reenact Antitrust laws. Break up monopolies. Tax the Ultrawealthy’s Assets aka Stocks investments over a million dollars. Tax 90% inheritances over $1 million dollars and make sure these people PAY no matter where they go

Billionaires don't offer anything to the economy. 99% of their consumption is gifts, corporate amenities and free goods from other companies

my boss is a big time millionaire and he started from zero, he was a truck driver in his 20s. I know he's family very well, I've been to his home many times with other employees for dinner. there are many many rich ppl like him who made it from nothing. taxing more than it should from ppl just because they're rich is unfair. government focus should be on multi-billion $$$ corporations not ordinary rich ppl.

My draft solutions to the problem is make it so stocks cannot be an option in lieu of cash payment for a job done, make it illegal to use an investment portfolio as collateral for a loan, and make a maximum wage cap of 5 million dollars. Every single cent after that 5 million is taxed at 100%

Whilst taxing may arrive to the same place, I'd still prefer to establish a cap on wealth

All corporations should be employee owned and operated. The shareholders should be the employees themselves. That would be a genuinely constructive start towards proactive wealth redistribution

You dont need to tax the rich but you have to regulate the things that makes them rich! 1) abolish monopolies 2) real estate regulation 3) stop stock buy backs 3) no tax cuts for mega corporations. This is more important than taxing them bc it will get rid of the root issues

Also funny thing is, this is the argument in every country. People say the same thing here in germany. Imagine if countries just collectively started taxing rich people

We should just nationalize all the corporations and confiscate the stock. Then allow the corporations to be run by the workers and the people.

Put a 15% exit tax on billionaires/millionaires. 0.3% of the millionaires left the UK in 2025. The wealthy fleeing the country is just a right wing trope.
