Usually like your advice but written rules 😱😩. It was one incident - get over it and forgive. Maybe a one time mistake

Bolting from a boundary. Hmmm sounds like this "boundary" should of been discussed beforehand to prevent any minor issues. 🤔

Jackie :
I married into a family like this. I had a lot of trauma growing up and have healed learning how to set boundaries with toxic individuals. My MIL told me “I know what’s wrong and what to do to fix myself but I’m not willing to.” Never apologizes or admits she’s wrong everyone bows down to her and the energy in the room when she’s there is awful. Unfortunately my husband’s first wife is exactly like his mom. Everyone just allows the abuse to continue. Luckily my husband was working on himself when we met and having some insight and counseling to finally see it and set healthy boundaries. He has 2 kids and the best thing for them is to see us set healthy boundaries and protect our kids then hopefully when they are older they can set appropriate boundaries also.

What do you think the differences is between violating boundaries versus breaking rules?
