Go straight to your dr's office in the morning and file a police report. They can get you an emergency refill!! Try to breathe and regulate your heart rate so the stress doesn't cause a flare up! Do you need money for the refill? We can raise it.

Insurance agent here: if this happens to you first thing you need to do is call the cops. Get a police report for it. Once you’ve got that then call either your doctor’s office or hit the ER/Urgent Care if it’s open. Have the police report/case number with you. While you’re inevitably waiting to get in call the member services number on your insurance card. Tell member services what happened and give them the case number from the report and let them know you’re waiting to have an emergency script ordered from either the ER/UC/doctors office. Some of these medications have quantity limits that your insurance won’t cover if you go over. Extenuating circumstances like this have fixes. Take a breath, take it easy and try to relax as much as you can it’ll be okay. If you get push back from member services you’re gonna immediately say you want to file an escalation. If they push back again say you’re now demanding to file a grievance. On the off chance you’re on a medicare insurance plan tell em you’re gonna file the grievance with CMS and get the agent’s name. Get the call reference number and then call Medicare immediately after (they’re open 24-7) and tell the Medicare agent you need to file a grievance on the plan and explain the situation to them. They’ll get the ball rolling. Nothing like bringing the wrath of God and the federal government down on their heads in an emergency situation. Most of us wanna help so don’t threaten with Medicare/the state department of insurance (for non-Medicare) right out of the gate. Some people are just assholes in the industry sadly so use that info responsibly hahaha.

As someone also with Lupus but currently not treating cuz shit ESPENSIVE…I’m sorry babes. I’d say file a report but more than likely you already have. Message your doctor with police report and they can re-administer the meds to your local pharmacy. Unsure if you’ll get any help from your pharmacy on amounts, but goodrx has a few coupons.
