@lisetteoropesa: I just realized that I made my debut as Violetta in La traviata just over 10 years ago. I can’t believe that I have been singing this complex and wonderful character for a decade, and she still feels new. As she grows with me, I’m always finding greater depth in this masterpiece, and I hope to sing Violetta for many more years. I have been lucky enough to record this opera on CD with San Francisco Classical Recording Company, make a wonderful movie with Mario Martone at the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma (@opera_roma), make a bis-that-was-not-a-bis at the Teatro Real (@teatro_real) where I sang an unplanned second verse of “Addio del passato” and have given a total of 50 performances with 12 different companies’ productions. Tomorrow, I have one more performance with the Bayerische Staatsoper (@bayerischestaatsoper) and I return to the Metropolitan Opera (@metopera) to sing her in March and April!
