Girl i totally understand but trust it gets better. I used to do 6-10 miles daily especially during xc season but i had hip dysplasia and needed two surgery’s but im cleared now but its a very slow process. It is indeed a mental thing as well but also do be aware of the pain cues. Just start adding half miles to your run, dont focus on speed focus on the distance, you can also walk for an extra mile or two after your runs and that build a little confidence!

doing any running is still better than doing. no running. and saying that 8 mi isn't long, honey, I couldn't walk 8 mi of my life depended on it. well I probably could, but I haven't done it in a while and I'd probably be hurting the next day. but you're doing great, you take it one step at a time.

Do you have different routes scouted based on how much she plan on running that day, so you’re in back where you started? Do you play it by ear and just figure if you misjudge you can always call for a ride or an Uber/Lyft?
