Korean Cartman :
I grew up playing baseball in Korea, and from the time I was 7 years old, getting beat up was just part of “training.” I lived with my teammates and our coach, and the abuse was constant. It got so bad that just seeing my coach gave me panic attacks. I went to one of the strictest schools in the country—known for the harshest punishments.
I still remember running for 3 straight hours because we lost a game. The rule was we stopped only when half the kids passed out. That was normal to us. Smiling was a reason to get hit because we weren’t “supposed to enjoy it.”
When I was 7, my coach told me:
“You’re already late for education. Without baseball, you’re nobody in society.”
Imagine being told you’re a failure at 7 years old.
Eventually, I quit baseball and moved to the U.S. in high school. That changed everything. I became the first Korean Division I track and field athlete. But more importantly, I learned what sports were supposed to be—opportunity, growth, passion, and love… not fear.
America taught me to love sports. Korea taught me to survive them.
I’m grateful for both, because those experiences made me who I am today.

Samething in Japan. It’s wild! 8 hour practices on the weekends with lunch breaks. Getting hit with the knobs of a fungo. Made us a lot better than most kids at 10 years old.

Training in japan and korea 20-40 years ago is hell lol all types of punishment is there and most of this is not getting reported because schools are not allowing it to be report and most of the training without water then teachers are strict and abusing so many students
