I had an icu nurse tell me the pt wasn’t appropriate to stepdown and the dr wouldn’t listen and to just call a rapid when he got there. She was right, homie was still trying to meet jc 😅

I started my career in the ED. Several years ago I was working med surg and received a call for report. I told them just bring the patient up, no worries. All of my coworkers freaked out.

Where do y’all work that med surg/tele doesn’t want a super detailed report? I’m sitting there telling them they were a CABG and lines removed….they wanna know about the cell saver and if they got blood THREE DAYS AGO IN THE OR. Please- the guy is walking, talking, and ready to go home. Don’t make this hard for all us 😭 I even gave meds early to make your life easier.
