Australia has the best coffee in the Anglo world, thanks to the influx of Italians, Greeks, Turks and Levantines after WW2, who knew what they were doing. The Vietnamese came later and just boosted it more

One of the main reasons why Starbucks was not successful in Australia is because they ignored established Aussie coffee culture hence Australian preference was for a more local, social and experience-based coffee culture that was already well established and fostered by existing cafes…yes, even me being a Sydneysider I concur that Melbourne Coffee is the best even though we in Sydney have amazing coffee cafes..

Coffee Anthology in Brisbane has been named in the 10 in the world. Definitely worth a visit. Brisbane is a surprise packet of quality coffee.

I travelled through Europe and UK and I must agree, I found it hard to get a good coffee and it was so good to get home for a coffee hit 😅 Coffee is excellent Australia wide! 😄

The first coffee I tried when I visited the US a couple of years ago was an Americano. It was so bad that it was literally disgusting and undrinkable. Burnt and bitter.

And no tipping. When you get your coffee, you don’t have to tip the barista, because they are getting paid a fair wage. And you get great service too. I had some horrible service in the US, and the still expected a tip.

Starbucks failed here in Australia. I live in a small regional town, 3000 people, we have 4 great coffee shops. Come and visit.

Facts … I traveled all over the USA and could not find a decent coffee anywhere except in an Aussie owned and run coffee shop in New York .
