I don't know why people automatically assume the battle would be fought using a Yu Gi Oh ruleset. If anything there would be no rule sets at all, and Ash can go ham. Or theyd mix the rule sets by having them switch based on whose currently attacking, so Ash can just neg diff when its his turn
