Noli turning into Elliot while being with Chance is actually the most painful part🥹 It’s like, even HE knows Chance wasn’t looking at him, but rather, just the idea of someone else. Imagine realizing in real time that the only version of you someone can love is the one that isn’t even you. That no matter how hard you try, how close you get, you’ll always be second place to a ghost they can’t let go of. The feeling of letting them go, would hurt even more. The scars in their heart, they were too deep to heal by love.
