It has taken me 6+ years of thrifting, diy, and upcycling to get to where I am, and i had fun along the way! I live in the middle of conservative nowhere which means there’s only old lady church clothes and fishing dad clothes. I don’t buy fast fashion but that means I also do not look alternative because there’s quite literally nothing unless I wanna drive 2 hours away and 2 hours back (I’m a nursing student! I can’t spend my whole day driving then thrifting). And what makes it worse is that my proportions are very weird because I’m petite. Does anyone else in conservative nowhere’s have advice because jeez. 😭

(I do not support fast fashion btw and don't buy from it) there are people that don't live in America. here in Germany, the thrift stores (in the cities I've been, small and big) have old grandma clothes that literally are falling apart.. it's so sad, I wish I could go to America for one day and thrift there🥀

its much harder if you're plus sized, Id recommend getting into altering clothes. with a needle, thread and lace you can make something that fits you sm cuter
