@msamlboys2: LIFE UPDATE (A Big One) … Today, I’m undergoing a Hysterectomy. Typing that still feels surreal. Back in 2013–2014, when I was still in Canada, I was diagnosed with PCOS and Endometriosis. My hormones were all over the place, the bleeding was unpredictable, and I remember being told that having kids might be difficult for me. Hysterectomy was even suggested at that time… but I wasn’t ready. I chose to wait, to hope, and to let fate write my story. Fast forward to today… and somehow, I was blessed with two beautiful boys. My miracles. My greatest gifts. Every time I look at them, I’m reminded of how grateful I am that life had different plans for me. 💛 It’s been almost a year now of bleeding nonstop. Medications stopped working. My body has been tired. Together with my doctors, we finally decided it was time. I knew this day would eventually come - especially after my tubal ligation with my second child - but I didn’t expect it to be this soon. We originally planned for the surgery before my older son’s procedure, but my mama heart wanted to be fully present for him first. So we moved mine after… and here we are. My husband has been so understanding through it all. And my parents flew in from Canada to help me heal - only for two weeks, but those two weeks mean everything. They’re the most crucial part of my recovery, and I’m so grateful they’re here. And honestly… the hardest part of today wasn’t the hospital or the prep. It was leaving my kids behind this morning - kissing their little faces, trying to smile even though my heart felt heavy. I know they’re in good hands, but no matter how strong I try to be, walking out that door without them made everything feel real in the deepest way. So today… I’m choosing courage. I’m choosing healing. I’m choosing to do this not just for myself, but for them. Please keep me in your thoughts & prayers as I go through this. Thank you, truly. 💙🥺 #surgery #hysterectomy #momlife #lifeupdate #MartesLeeFamily

Take your pain meds BEFORE you hurt. Don’t do to much. Let others help. It’s worth it after you heal. Hugs!!
