@torilatise: As a woman who grew up in the tobacco fields of Duncan and Fuquay-Varina, NC, I never thought in a million years I would experience the amazing opportunities that God has blessed me with in my 40 years on earth. I think about how good God has been to me, even when I haven’t been good to myself, and I give him all the praise for never leaving my side. The sacrifices that my parents and family have made to help me with any of my dreams and goals doesn’t go unnoticed. Brenda, my beautiful mother, I love you more than words can express and actions can show. The supportive and encouraging long talks and fun times with my friends over the years have been therapeutic to my soul. The ambition that I have for myself definitely doesn’t go unnoticed. My dedication, passion, motivation, and drive to show up authentic and unapologetically for myself and my goals keeps me going. Thank you to my 30’s for its life lessons, happy tears, sad tears, joy, anger, trials, tribulations, encouragement, bravery, kindness, and love. To my 40’s, I look forward to this beautiful journey with open arms. Happy 40th Birthday to ME!!!
