@xavier.clb: Replying to @Xytola This aesthetic / lifestyle was ostracized by the Black community and everyone is aware of that - therefore, no one would take on that look and face criticism. Now that there seems to be a critical mass, it’s somewhat more acceptable. Testing the waters by making it a trend / “joke”
Hold on, u actually think that black people don’t know that it’s higher class blacks that dress with respect and dignity?

If u never wore tech or affiliated with the construct of what came with it, u missed the whole quarter zip movement. It’s not about u or trying to be anything that’s the funny spin they put on it 😭 it’s yn’s getting away frm being a statistic to elevating to something better.

The idea that matcha is a feminine drink is just a Western social-media stereotype. In reality, matcha has been a major cultural tradition in East Asia for over a thousand years, especially in Japan and China. It has been used by monks, scholars, emperors, and even samurai, who drank it for focus and discipline.

is your content neutral? It has helped me tremendously to become a better version of me- elegance, etiquette but today in this video I hear you mention man and I wonder if you meant your content for both man and woman? I know once in awhile you would do shopping or something that's gender specific but in general I have known your content to be neutral

Yes! Im here for it! I’m 33 raised around other upper middle class black ppl. We have always dressed like this. Unfortunately there’s a group of BP that see any form of black evolution as “whitewashed” or “respectability politics”. And that’s from their own trauma they need to work on. Do not limit yourself

You explained this perfectly, I talked to my older sister who’s a millennial and she said this is Gen Zs business casual moment similar to what happened post 2009. It’s a pendulum shift for sure, but I hope for some young men this leads them to a better direction.

How would you know what they think and how would you know what they know what exist you know nothing about those people that you’re speaking upon you’re not a factor you’re not a trend you’re not even a thought process. It’s nice that you feel like you’ve important to these black young men today you’re not so you continue to be the token black that you are amongst your Caucasian friends OK

No Keith Lee started acknowledging that he likes Matcha. Not feminine at all. It’s an energy drink other than coffee and a little more healthy. I think this is a movement trying to show young black men are more than thug or dress a certain way. It’s a play on dapper fashion. Stop trying to make yourself relevant.

I thought it was all about a “movement” to encourage the youth into developing a more professional mindset both in appearance and in their careers. That by taking on the role to have a more a-line fashion that represents and encourages a lifestyle and education/career that supports it. I didn’t realize it was focused on black vs white when it comes to relatability as much as promoting it among the youth in our society 🤷🏼♀️….
