@theparlorworkshop: Fun fact: Having God on your ship doesn’t mean you won’t face storms (or giant krakens), it just means no storm or kraken can sink your ship. In 1979, while escaping the fall of Saigon, the captain of the boat ordered my mother to throw my body overboard before it started to “stink up the ship.” I was dying so she told him she will throw my body overboard once I stopped breathing. We had already been attacked by sea pirates 3 times and there was still no land in sight. But in our despair, we still had hope …. “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.” Isaiah 43:2.
