the book describe the deadlights as Orange and also as a dead Light that simulate Life. when the deadlights turn Blue its probably cause they are simulating Life and not their true nature, thats why ppl can see them withouth getting their brain melted. the Blue light's when he "died" were probably just a hint that the real IT in the macrocosm isnt dead.
