I’ve seen this creators videos before and while I honestly have agreed with her book opinions on a rating level, I really noticed some like…kind of misogynistic undertones to the way she spoke about the women who read them and well. I guess I was right. :/

Every man I know who reads LitRPG has told me that it's a silly, goofy genre that isn't filled with the best writing in the world but is fun to read. I have yet to see a soul worry about the intellectual rigor of that genre. This is just misogyny. People have just found a thing popular with women and are using it to belittle them.

Romantasy is a great gateway for a lot of people to get back into reading - that's why I love it! I rather women read about questionable mafia romances than not read at all... because eventually, a lot of them get curious about reading other things 🥰

I'm not a big romantasy lady but all the ones I have read are not like that but the thing I feel like she's not taking into account is that in the same vein like a lot of women like that type of interaction and it's probably harder to write the hot controlling man in a matriarchy of some sort and ppl write what they know and we all pretty much are in a patriarchy
