@itstherespawn: Hytale, the long-running Minecraft-style adventure game that Riot Games canceled earlier this year, has been revived by its original creators at Hypixel. Co-founder Simon Collins-Laflamme announced that Hypixel has repurchased the rights from Riot and plans to launch the game in early access “as soon as possible.” He warned fans to expect rough edges, but said the goal is to shape the game together over time. Around 30 former Hytale developers have returned to the project, which is being fully self-funded by the studio’s founders. The team has ditched the newer Cross-platform Engine in favor of an older Legacy Engine build that’s much closer to being playable.
