people also contribute every pay period into their 401(k). if the cash they have available to trade is less than a single share of a stock, they may buy something else out of FOMO for not being in the market

Covered calls aren't that risky though if your strike price is way out of the money. It can be good supplemental income.

I disagree. It isn't psychological because the person still owns the same amount in the same stock. A stock split is taught on Accounting 2xx courses with one particular focus, ensuring the competitiveness (and more unspoken volatility) of the stock. You've got it right, psychology is involved, however, your psychological proposition is directed at the wrong group of people. People who purchase fractional shares (where they manage the shares themselves as apposed to (ETFs, mutual funds, etc which constitute the vast majority of fractional stock ownership) constitute an "unmanaged" and relatively fixed investment market. When most fractional shares are purchased in funds or plans the fact that some brokers don't offer that isn't an issue, people who want to purchase fractional shares will purchase fractional shares from a broker who will let them. When a stock is priced too high you're more concerned about competitiveness (only the richest people can afford our stock) and volatility (because only the richest people can afford our stock a relatively small group of people can greatly influence our market cap). Also, a very very small amount of people trade on contracts. Contracts trading is literally poker for wall street.

Yes. you can sell a calls against your shares. I see it as a dividend on top of what I already get.

I thought stock trading was just hype until I actually tried. When I made my first withdrawal, I felt so excited. Now I don’t see it as hype anymore it’s a real way to secure financial freedom. All thanks to Sir... @Steve J Conley
