Had this exact experience but at equinox. Cancelled my card and they found a way to still charge me. Never signing a contract with any gym from now on

That’s so sketchy on their part! I go to Anytime Fitness and they don’t do any of that pushing. Even when we had a trainer, he would have conversations with us and help us if we needed advice, but never pushed us or texted up like that.
