His character writing makes me absolutely sick because what do you mean he gave up almost his entire lifespan to be able to kill the gun devil... only to abandon the idea of revenge for his friends, and then he doesn't even get the full two years with them ?? as if that wasn't enough, he litterly becomes the thing he hated most !!

The fact you can see him quit smoking in hopes that he can life a meaningful last years with Power and Denji is so devastating. When he realized he’ll not see out even a year is when he starts to smoke again after quitting.
