As a technical pm I understand the frustration. But can we talk about developers just showing up to client demos without having tested the workflow and fumbling their way through it when the day before they confirmed that they will be ready? Or just having zero communication skills to talk to a client in general? Or leaving at 4 pm to attend their kids soccer match only to delay the product deployment next day? Or I having to clean up their mess with the client and upper management to save their jobs and reputation? Or charging twice the amount of hours to the project than what they had estimated? Or just taking a PTO in a middle of a critical project phase and in some cases not even letting me know about it?

I always loved working with non technical PMs, they tend to trust the developers and forces us to explain things in simple language (which in turns makes us think harder). non technical PMs are simply better (but it requires them to accept their lack of knowledge)
