I have an old man for a cat too I could never get rid of him yes he’s no longer climbing trees and eating birds but we love him and his cuddles

The way I gasped at 15. Also, I’ve started telling people to put their cat 10+ down. I tell them point blank that the cat will NEVER be adopted so if they can’t handle it, they need to put it down. That sobers them up pretty quickly.

My cat lost control of his bowel and bladder at around 17. Vet couldn’t find a reason other than his age. So I diapered him and cleaned him frequently for a year until he succumbed to his age at 18.

I was with both of mine that passed , one last year at 18 and the other this year at 20. I was there to let them know how much I loved them and will miss them 😩
