Using a silicone cupcake/muffin pan add a ritz cracker to each cup. Add 1 cup of butter (2 sticks) to a pan over medium heat. Once it’s melted add 1 cup of brown sugar. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil. Allow that to boil for 3 minutes stirring continuously. If you don’t the sugar could burn. Keep whisking!! Remove from heat and use a cookie scoop to scoop hot mixture into each cup. Move quickly so the mixture stays nice and hot! Add tray to oven and for 3-4 minutes. Removed and had a heaping tablespoon of chocolate chips to each cup. Pop back in the oven for 2-3 minutes. Remove and use the back of a spoon to smooth the chocolate. Add toppings. I used sprinkles and pecan chips. You could even use peppermint pieces or peppermint bark pieces. Yum! Allow to cool completely for at least 2 hours. I like sticking mine in the fridge for a couple hours. Remove and enjoy! **tip you can use a candy thermometer to make sure the temperature of the sugar is between 300-310. Cooking at that temp is what will make your sugar mixture harden and help the toffee crack! #christmascandy #baking #EasyRecipes #christmascrack #christmascookies
