Living with intention. That’s what I’ve been trying to do for the last few months - intentionally going to a workout class, planning my days with intentionality, considering what I put into my body, and choosing how I spend my free time with more intentional thought. I started doing this a few months ago to exercise a little bit more control in my life - to focus on what I could control rather than what I couldn’t. But it’s turned into so much more than that and something that I hope continues for months after vanlife is over. I love this lifestyle and I love this life, so I know that this next chapter will come with a pretty big adjustment period, which is why I’ve been starting living with intention now, while I’m still in the van, in hopes that I’ll bring it with me to my new official home. I tend to settle in to house life and get too comfortable in a routine without change to the point where I become bored, anxious, and eventually, unsettled when I’m off the road. But once vanlife comes to an end (not just a pause), to prevent that, I want life to continue to be beautiful - because I’ll make it beautiful. Life is fleeting, and I am not okay with letting it slip by day after day. So right now, that looks like romanticizing all the little things - solo dates, the simple act of lighting a candle to enjoy for the evening, dancing in my van while I make dinner, or taking a stroll along the waterfront. Life “solo” can be romantic if you let it be, and it’s ironic to me that for the last 3 years I’ve called myself a “solo female vanlifer” and it’ll soon just turn into “solo female … life?” So when I “settle” into my next chapter, I plan to continue to romanticize this “solo” life - to recognize the beauty in routine, in simplicity, in slowing down, in dating and loving myself, finding community, feeling love all around me not just from one person, and continuing to find adventure in the everyday, whether it’s a walk along the beach with intention and purpose or taking myself out to a wine bar with a book. Life’s adventures won’t stop just because a chapter is closing, so here’s to romanticizing all the small things…startingggg now. ✨🫶🏼 Get a free classpass trial with my link in bio! #solofemaletraveler #solofemalevanlife #solofemaletravel #toronto #torontocanada #torontoontario #visittoronto #sweatandtonic #classpass
