The second I heard LAX, honestly if they are first time international flyers they need 3 hours minimum. Ppl often go 3 hours early for domestic travel at LAX because it is ALWAYS super crowded 😭

flight at 1130 means boarding is 1100. LAX....830 at the security checkpoint not at the airline check in. This is why people lose their flights.

9:30 is completely reasonable if youre just going to airport to chill. Take 30-44 min to check bags and get past security. Use the rest of the time to grab dome water/quick drinks or potentially hit a lounge and then leave

Especially for a first time international flight I’d rather be there minimum 4 hours before departure because they don’t know mitigating factors like traffic to airport, check in time, getting through TSA time. I’d rather sit at airport and know I’m checked in and ready to go and can enjoy a meal before departure with no stress
