Don’t stay silent anymore, when you have family members supporting this behavior because they got a problem with you . The family members have their own kids but gives your more attention than they give their own kids , not to mention the grandkids, they want to be you and the only way they can is to be in your kids life.when they should be focusing on their children and grandchildren. I would love to hear more of your story — I watched my father abuse my grandma growing up (I’m NC with both). Toxic cycle. AC can absolutely become abusive earlier and later. Wishing you continued safety from any threats made to you and your family. As an AC who’s gone NC, I support you!!

There’s trauma being triggered on both ends. Yes, we grow up, but that inner child never leaves us. That’s the part of us still crying out for everything we were neglected of back then. There’s always a root beneath the surface actions, always something deeper that shaped how we show up today. Because of that, there’s accountability on both sides that has to be acknowledged for any real healing to happen. And the truth is, none of us can hear what we’re not ready to receive. I can understand it from both perspectives.
