Yes! In my fav book (Heist Society), the side characters joke that “Mom & Dad r fighting again” bc they act like a married couple despite not even officially dating. The conflict is rarely ever btwn the 2 & is more of them together against the world 😍

This is what I loved about “Heir” so much. Seeing the main couple from “an ember in ashes” all grown with their own family. Was sooo much fun. They weren’t there much, since it wasn’t their book, but the little bits I enjoyed immensely.
