Profits aren’t the only reason. Most people only tune in for new announcements. If they did it in March it would conflict with the typical “E3 season” and even though E3 is dead, there’s enough holdover to already have big announcements covered.

The only things I’ve heard about Arc Raiders has been all the complaining that it didn’t get GOTY nominated. Whereas all the other games that were nominated I’ve heard way more about and I haven’t even played them.

I genuinely think that the fervor over Arc Raiders right now is like a solid 90% based in recency bias. It's the new shiny thing. If it came out back in February, would we be talking about it half as much?

All of this aside…… can we be Arc raider friends! It’s not GOTY but it’s really fun and great survival extraction with friends. Actually feels good to have positive moments for once with people rather than the constant degrading of “I’m better than you haha”. Surviving together is just great.

no. Arc Raiders came out 30th October, but God of War Ragnarok came out on the 9th of NOVEMBER and still got nominated.

Streamers don't represent gamers, Critics didn't represent gamers. Right now TGA is the critic award show, Golden Joystick is the player award show. Maybe we can make a streamer award show, but they wouldn't pick the game that gamers or critics would pick.
