We don't celebrate Christmas in my house anymore. Not Thanksgiving, April fool's, Valentine's Day, Halloween... not a single secular, pagan holiday. We celebrate Christ every day and follow not the traditions of men to the best of our ability. Every major holiday is connected to what is called the 7 deadly sins: Thanksgiving: gluttony -eat until you pass out Bit remember be grateful for your ability to over indulge. Valentine's Day: lust/3exual immorality - love is daily, and immorality leads to the pit of hell. Halloween: a day when those who practice witchcraft are in full force, identity given by God is taken off to be something else- Jesus didn't eat with dead bones, He brought them back to. lif. Christmas: Jesus was born in the spring; every good gift comes from the Father of lights, God; Causes debt for parents to provide wants for their children that they may or may not be grateful for. I can go on and on. MAYBE ASK GOD TO REVEAL TO YOU AND STOP LISTENING TO MEN COMPROMISED WITH THE WORLD.

Christmas IS supposed to celebrate the birth of Jesus. BUT the WAY it is celebrated IS Pagan. research Yuletide. the pine trees and everything, that IS Pagan.

While you are correct about why we celebrate in Dec, many of the traditions and trappings of the season do take their origins from the pagan traditions around that same point in the calendar.

I'm pretty sure any pagan Christmas traditions only arose because that was a large amount of early Christians, the Romans expanded north and converted a lot of pagans, and I would say it's not unlikely that they adopted some of their traditions into Christianity when they converted, and that's where that may be from?

We do not celebrate his birth, we celebrate the reason WHY he was born. It does not matter the date, it is more important to focus on why he was born! Celebrate with your family that Christ was born!

Christmas trees and Santa and those things are pagan things, but celebrating the birth of Jesus is certainly not pagan....I am curious how they decided he was crucified exactly 33 years after he was conceived....

Hey Dinx, what do you think about TV/gaming? Is it sorcery? I know we've gotten a lot of technology from fallen angels. Or are they just tools and our intent is what matters?

so we aren't going to talk about the council of nicea in like 325 ad by Constantine when all this was established, he literally chose on his death bed to unite what was left of the declining roman empire under one religion and that was Christianity over the pagan religion, satrunaila and sol invticus, stop using partial facts to support your own conclusions

We were always told the Catholics made holidays to replace pegan festivals as the Catholics were conquering new places. Statues of saints replaced statues of gods

Kind of odd they calculated it the way you claim and happened to land on the first day that the sun moves out of its lowest path across the sky after being on that lowest path for 3 days. Maybe the pagans and Christian’s chose to celebrate dec 25 for the same reason. Zero research on my part. Just pointing out oddities

All this may be true about the day. I think there’s a lot more to discuss when we’re talking about the actual traditions that are affiliated with the holiday. The color schemes, characters, traditions. All of these do stem from other religions and belief systems.

so here is the thing you don't know if it isnt his birthday or not, its possible they were right but you outright say "nope" while I agree with most if what you said here you cant just say nope without actually knowing. its better to say "we dont know, and here's why" rather than claiming the negative in this case cuz for all you know they got lucky and got it right. while unlikely you cant prove that they didnt and shouldn't speak in an absolute when you cant prove it
