I don’t know why people try and make it a competition. The only difference between them is that Kakashi sunk into despair and Sasuke was blinded by rage. They both have suffered just as much, just in different ways. Kakashi felt helpless because there was nobody to blame and Kakashi was constantly thinking about what he could’ve done better and Sasuke felt rage because he needed revenge because he thought it would change something.
