Keep in mind that any elbow flexion variation will train your biceps, but there’s a lot of benefit to working them in different ranges. Just remember that will every exercise, milk out the eccentric and get as deep of a stretch as comfortably possible WITHOUT PAIN! Barbell Curls - Do not swing the bar. Push your elbows out and together. Extend them in front on the eccentric to lengthen that moment arm and increase tension on your biceps, without this there is little tension on your bicep in the stretched position. Incline DB Curls - Lower the bench to a comfortable incline to get your elbows behind your torso. Maintain this position as much as possible and keep your shoulder blades back and down. Preacher Curls - This is the most externally stabilized movement so use that to your advantage. Lock the pit of your arm into the bench tightly and use your body to leverage against the bench. Imagine “forearm to bicep” and use full range of motion. It is NOT dangerous to work in the deep stretch so long as you are controlling the weight and not moving to explosively from the bottom.
