wards are either way overestimated or way underestimated. if you're below Masters, don't even bother buying pink wards unless it's for objective control. the point of wards is to get you information. if you misplace it (which most people under masters will do), it's just useless

in my humble opinion best moments to buy a ward is whenever you complete an item (unless you play support) because that's when your power spike is finished and you are just about to actually play the game so a ward comes pretty useful if used properly (this is jungle player opinion and perspective)

The only way to truly get good at league is to balance ego and humbleness. Know that youre good and capable of winning but also humble enough to focus your criticism to yourself and not other players. You wont get better by blaming other people, you improve by blaming yourself and trying to fix the mistakes. You also wont improve if your ego is not big enough, confidence is half the formula to winning lane.
