I’m learning that myself now. So far my professionalism mantra is to be kind, honest. And do what I can but without giving away too much. Sometimes I might accidentally underbid a job, other times I’ll throw in a little something extra at no cost. So far it’s working. But I have to learn that there’s clients and jobs that work out well with those things, and others not so much.

I’ve been listening to the @Jefferson Fisher podcast and he talks a lot about being “kind” v being “nice”. I’ve appreciated his perspective a definition of “kind” which differentiates a bit from yours here, which is more how he defines “nice”. Being kind still means you have boundaries and give honest feedback. Kindness means being honest and authentic. Just more food fo thought.
