Every year for decades, I hosted Thanksgiving & Christmas. Never a potluck. I always cooked and the family would bring cups, drinks and dessert. When my husband died two years ago in a car accident, everyone stopped coming. Now, there is no Thanksgiving or Christmas meals prepared in my home with love, for my loved one’s. It’s just me and my fur-babies 💔 i’m not sure what hurts more some days. The sudden death of my husband or the detachment from the family. They say they don’t want to burden or stress me. They don’t understand the pain they’re causing me while they are trying to avoid the pain that’s already there💔

lost my mom this year 😭 she was at Thanksgiving last year. the younger kids who didn't see her often were finally acting interested in her. 😢 she'd been sick and skipped Christmas. due to not feeling well. I somehow knew those would be out last months and im so angry with my siblings were not trying and helping more.
