Polnareff was going to fight dio thinking everyone is dead btw. he's the goat. Polnareff has the strongest will out of any jojo characters. His sister dead, his mind was temporarily taken over, he went through so much grief during part 3 (The death of iggy, avdol, the assumed death of jotaro, Joseph, and Kakyoin), in part 5 he is isolated by the Italian mafia and diavolo took his legs and almost killed him. after all of this he still holds it together and holds his spirit. His requem represents his grief and his will by being a lone traveler, no matter what loss.
