@straightarrownews: Officials from the U.S., Ukraine and other European countries met on Sunday to talk about President Donald Trump’s 28-point plan to end the war in Ukraine. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the talks in Geneva were productive. “I feel very optimistic that we can get something done here, because we made a tremendous amount of progress today,” Rubio said. Rubio offered few details about what, if anything, would change in Trump’s controversial peace plan or whether Russia would accept those changes. As it stands now, the Trump plan would require Ukraine to give up territory, drop any bid to join NATO and accept a cap on its military size. Kyiv has repeatedly said it will not give up any land. Zelenskyy said before the talks that Ukraine would review every single point of the plan. And late Sunday, the White House said the Ukrainian delegation “affirmed that all of their principal concerns — security guarantees, long-term economic development, infrastructure protection, freedom of navigation and political sovereignty — were thoroughly addressed during the meeting.” Tap the link in bio for more.
