My daughter had allergic reactions to iron infusions. Her feet blew up and her blood pressure dipped very low. Apparently this is very common for iron infusions.

I take iron pills and the doctor told me he wants me to stay away from infusions as long as I can due to reactions.

I feel like maybe it’s like antibiotics- you can take them a few times and then that next time, you have a bad reaction. Next time call 911. Please.

I’m so glad you are talking about this, because I didn’t even know this was a thing until recently. Im hearing more and more stories about other people having horrible reactions to these IV treatments.
