Buddhist monks are not able to touch females. During ceremonies, males are assisting with providing food to the monks. If you come across them, please show respect by holding your hands in prayer mode. It is the most polite way to greet the monks. If the monks are sitting, please bow your head as you walk past. We move in absolute respect when we're in the presence of the monks.
